I was interviewed on the Wellness for Makers Podcast!

Back in 2018, Cara Mae Skin Care had our first booth at the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) Conference in Pittsburgh, PA. One of the booths that caught my eye was that of Wellness for Makers. They had a bright banner and a table with massage and self care tools. What stood out to me the most was the cheerful owner, Missy Graff Ballone. She was very warm and welcoming, eager to talk about her business and her mission to help makers feel good in their bodies so that their studio practices stay sustainable. I picked up a wrist roller to help my sore and tired wrists (lotionmaking is hard on the forearms too), and we got to talking. I quickly realized that the missions of our businesses were aligned -- helping makers and artists with their self care.

Missy and I have stayed in touch over the past couple of years. I have always been impressed by her presence on Instagram and the clear way she presents her mission. Her instagram is something to behold. If you haven't checked it out, look in the links below.

Earlier this year, Missy asked me to be a guest on her brand new podcast, which she just started in February!  I really enjoyed our conversation and found myself talking about aspects of my business and creative process that I hadn't talked about before. If you'd like to hear the interview (it's a quick 15 minute listen), click below. If you enjoy it, please rate and review the podcast so it can reach more folks. Without further ado, here is my interview on the Wellness for Maker's podcast
