During the Hurricane Helene, Cara’s studio (part of Second Story Potters in Asheville’s River Arts District) was flooded waist-high. In addition to her potters wheel, tools, and some work being destroyed and damaged, she has lost the space where she made and sold work.
While Cara and Michelle are glad to have the ability to run the lotion part of the business, this too has been impacted due to weeks of power and water outages, three of our biggest lotion retailers being flooded and closing, and Asheville losing tourism.
We are resilient and with your support we will continue to make our handcrafted lotion and Cara will find a new studio space and return to making pottery. Thank you for your support!
